I feel pretty…

December 21st, 2010 / 11 Comments » / by Greis

11 days ago I departed the great state of Texas and headed west for a weekend of fun in Las Vegas.  I was meeting up with some amazing friends so that we could watch on as Brittany and her husband Andy said I Do, again!

A few weeks prior to the trip I received a Skype message from Angie asking if I might be interested in a dress to wear to the wedding.  Of course I was, because really, who doesn’t love new shiny pretty things.  Angie passed on my information to Jessica with Eliza Parker and I was contacted the same day.

I was allowed to pick out the dress of my choice, so I scurried over to the website and started browsing through all the beautiful options.  Jessica and I exchanged a few emails during the selection process.  I conveyed to her my fear of dresses and that my only requirement was that it MUST have sleeves.  She assured me that I would love my selection, but that if it didn’t work out she’d happily help me pick out something else and make sure that it arrived before my trip.

After a few more emails and some back and forth, I was very indecisive, my dress was selected.  I went with the Monaco, and I’m so happy that I did.  The dress was absolutely amazing and thanks to Angie I have some pretty great pictures of myself in it.

My favorite part of the dress was the full skirt and the length.  I’m usually pretty self conscious in anything too tight or too short so this dress was perfect.  The best part it was a size 10 -12, because apparently it runs big, but I wasn’t complaining because hello size 10 – 12 I haven’t seen you since high school!!

For a girl that never wears dresses I’m pretty sure Eliza Parker has changed me.  I felt so great in the dress.  I received so many compliments, which doesn’t hurt the self esteem one bit, and for the first time in a LONG time I really felt pretty.

Thank you Eliza Parker for the dress!
Thank you Jessica for all of your help during the selection process, it was much appreciated!
Thank you Angie for hooking me up with the opportunity and for the amazing pictures!!

**Disclosure: Eliza Parker provided me with the aforementioned dress, but did not require me to write a review.  All thoughts expressed above are mine and mine alone.  I wrote the review because I loved the product I was provided.**

Malibu Greis…

March 22nd, 2010 / 6 Comments » / by Greis

I have been chosen as a Houston Girl on the Go and am participating in the Girlfriend Getaway promotion, sponsored by Houston Area Chevy dealers & Massage Envy.   The folks over at Champion Chevrolet Houston (Hi Pedro!!) have provided me with a brand new Chevy Malibu (Who I’ve named Molly) for a month.  I’ll be driving her around, EVERYWHERE, and documenting my experiences.

Head on over to Girlfriend Getaway Houston to follow my journey.  While you’re there you can vote for your favorite blogger (ME) and read through the experiences of the 4 other Girl on the Go women.  Voting is limited to Texas residents only, bummer I know.  If you are in the Houston area you can also stop by any Chevy dealer and test drive a Malibu, as a thank you, you will receive a complimentary 1 hour massage from Massage Envy.  Be sure to tell them that I sent you!!

**The Girls on the Go campaign is sponsored by Houston Area Chevy Dealers.  As a promotion participant I have been given a 2010 Chevy Malibu, and gift cards to cover gas, to test drive for 1 month.  In return I will be blogging about my experiences driving the car and using all of its features.  Girlfriend Getaway has given us some fun projects to do and will be providing us with gift cards to complete said projects.  I will be giving the car back at the end of the month, it will be a sad sad day!**
