At the Astros game on Saturday I was standing waiting for a light to change so I could cross the street. I could feel the heat through my flops. I went to Austin in April - APRIL!! - and it was so hot that the sidewalk burned the soles of my feet *through* my sneakers! I can't even imagine it this time of year. I do like North Carolina for the fact that we have 4 seasons & each one is 3 months long. No 6 months of summer like in Mississippi, and no 6 months of gray rain like in Seattle. But summers in Seattle are gorgeous, and this is the time of year that I really miss it there. Girl, I don’t know how you survive it.
