One Week…

In ONE week:

There will be hospital gowns…

IV’s…

Anesthesia…

Oxygen…

Wires…

Tubes…

And so much more.

The time has flown by and surgery is getting closer and closer.  By this time next week I should be recovering in my private hospital room, likely high on something.  I’m not sure if I’m more nervous about the actual surgery or the fact that a catheter will be involved.  It’s a major surgery and I’m more worried about a catheter, really?!?  It’s the little things that worry me most.

I’ll update more soon, promise!

I promise you the catheter will be a breeze. I barely noticed mine after the c-section.

I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I wish you the best of luck! My niece had the same surgery about a year ago. She’s doing great and loving life.

I’ve heard so many positive things from so many people that have had the surgery and from friends/family of people that have had the surgery. I’m really positive about it all and looking forward to my future. Thanks for the well wishes.

I was freaked out about the catheter too, but they put it in after I was unconscious and they took it out before I woke up, so I never even knew it was there.

I was *really* freaked to get one when I gave birth because I knew I wouldn’t be unconscious for it, but it turned out to be not such a huge deal. I’d say it’s about the same level of discomfort as a pap smear. It’s not pleasant, but it’s over in less than 1/2 second.

You’ll do great! I’m SO excited for you! XOXO

You are going to do great! The catheter is a breeze! It’s in after you are knocked out, and you won’t even feel it when they take it out. You just have to carry your pee bag around when you walk the halls :)

Ack! I totally get your nervousness/stress.

Hopefully everything will go smoothly and you won’t even notice the catheter!

Yes, I will figure something out. I know I might be out of it for a bit, but I’ll try to get my mom or dad skilled on how to update Twitter from my phone, you know just so everyone knows I made it through. LOL

There will be no need for you to worry! I’m doing enough of that, about a catheter none the less, for the both of us!

Greis, I’ve never had the inclination to comment here before, but this is as good of an occasion as it will get. I wish you all the best during and after your hospital visit.
