My Olympic Moment…

I love the Olympics!
Summer or Winter they’re both OK by me, as long as I get to watch and cheer Team USA on to victory! Some of my favorite Olympic events are Swimming, Hockey, Ice Skating, Bobsled and Skiing. Every 2 years you’ll find me on my couch engrossed in all the hype watching the sappy stories and pulling for any of the US men and women to bring home the gold.

I could never compete in the Olympics. Not because I lack the passion, I’m passionate about a lot of things. I just don’t have the talent that it takes to partake in these time honored events and traditions. Just watching all of the amazing athletes makes me want to keel over and die. I’m having sympathy leg cramps and I find myself out of breath every now and again. Is that normal, or is it just me?

You know what I would excel at? Sleeping!! Too bad that’s not an Olympic event, because I would surely take the gold. I love my sleep, unfortunately I don’t get enough of it during the week. The weekends are a different story. I could totally sleep All.Day.Long if it wasn’t so frowned upon, you know, since I have things to do like cleaning toilets and vacuuming and laundry.

Another thing I’m pretty good at is useless trivia. I know this because while I was on my cruise in September I won a gold medal in a Cruise Ship Trivia contest. How many people can say they are the proud owners of a Carnival Cruise gold medal? Here’s the photographic evidence of my greatness:

If I had any pull in the Olympic Committee I would definitely try to talk them in to adding sleeping and useless trivia to the line up of Olympic Events, because seriously it should be all about me and my non-athleticness.

Whoa. You ACTUALLY won a gold medal in something. I’d probably be overly proud of that there medal. So awesome!

So you have a medal, that is so awesome.
Trivia, I’m not very good at that. I am loving the Olympics this year. Haven’t watched in years but I am glued to the TV every night. Go Team USA!

I’m very “meh” about the winter olympics (maybe because I hate being cold? I don’t know) but I LOVE the summer olympics.

I think I’d win a gold in…. um… dude, I don’t even know. Wine drinking?? Butter consumption??

I don’t remember seeing a trivia contest when I was on my cruise. I was robbed! LOL I think it’s awesome that you have a medal to remind you.
