Bucket list…

When it comes to blogging I’m a follower.
When I see fun meme’s or great ideas I’ll totally post them here too.
What can I say, I’m pretty boring like that.

Some of my favorites have posted their 101 lists.  They have given themselves over 1,000 days to complete a list of 101 things/tasks.  I’m a slacker and really don’t want to commit to completing a list by a certain day, and I don’t want to commit to a set number of things/tasks.  So I’ve titled my list  Things To Do Before I Kick the Bucket.  So as long as I don’t die tomorrow or in a week or even sometime within the next few 20 years I figure I’ll have some time to get these things done.

I’ll be updating my list with new things as I think of them and I’ll be crossing things off as I get them done.  I don’t promise that they’ll EVER be completed. :)

Things to do Before I Kick the Bucket

  1. Throw out the 1st pitch at an Astros game
  2. Go to Australia
  3. Go on an Alaskan Cruise
  4. Sit in the Diamond Club at an Astros game
  5. Get married
  6. Have a child
  7. Meet Justin Timberlake
  8. Attend a taping of the Oprah Show
  9. Attend a taping of the Ellen Show (April 28, 2011)
  10. Lose 150 pounds (As of 01/10/2013 I’ve lost 130 pounds)
  11. Buy a house
  12. Work out with Jillian Michaels (in person)
  13. Visit all Major League Ballparks (preferably while the Astros are there)*
  14. Spend a few weeks (2 or 3) in California traveling the Pacific Coast Highway
  15. Go to the Grand Canyon
  16. Go to Washington DC
  17. Travel to Canada
  18. Go on a Hawaiian Cruise
  19. Go back to Germany (where I was born)
  20. Visit the Eiffel Tower
  21. Ride in a hot air balloon
  22. Create my family tree
  23. Get a college degree
  24. Visit all 50 states (not just driving through)**
  25. Travel by train
  26. See “real” snow (not fake Texas snow)
  27. Visit New York City during the holidays
  28. Run a 5K
  29. Get another tattoo
  30. Go to Ireland
  31. Sit front row at a Kenny Chesney concert (April 3, 2011)
  32. Go to a SuperBowl game
  33. Own a MacBook
  34. Own a DSLR camera
  35. Learn to play golf
  36. Have Lasik eye surgery
  37. Stay in a Hut over the water on a luxurious island (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc)
  38. Skydive (with a beach view)

On my list: Trip to Europe.
I even think I can get the hubby on board for that. And if not… hmph. Still going.

I like this a lot. All 50 states is so on my list. I want to see the small things though, not just the big things.

There is this book that i have, somewhere…1,001 things to see before you die. Some are very, very cool.

And that would be a full life, well lived! All your travel dreams reminded me that I have a huge “list” item unfulfilled. I want to stand on Antarctica. It would be the last continent for me to earn my “stood on all seven” stripes.

Since my bucket time is shorter then yours I think I should work on a list. Wouldn’t it be fun to meet up in Paris. I am really craving that one. Your list is awesome and I haven’t done most of them either. Oprah, lets go to Oprah!!! I am going to miss her show. I am going to pray that you get married and have a baby, that seems to be the most important if you ask me!

Your list is much more ambitious than mine… and that really says something, considering mine includes potentially winning an Oscar AND an Emmy, lol!

You know… if you come to Canada to winter you can see real snow. Lots of it ;)

I have completed 10 of the things on your bucket list, yet none on mine, boooo me… I have had to “adjust” my bucket list and it just seems boring now. I might borrow a couple of yours, please buy large luggage in case you do the travel stuff because ( I am not as limber as I used to be) that would allow me to scratch off some of my stuff too. It’s a win win.
